Meet Alison
Alison Kihara, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of pediatric experience, and a mother of two boys who received speech-language therapy when they were younger… So, you could say that I am experienced on both sides! I have most recently worked as a part of the early childhood assessment team as well as served on the autism resource team for my school district. I have advanced training in PROMPT and in the Social Thinking approach.
I founded In Bloom Speech Therapy with the mission of helping families grow even closer by supporting and improving their child’s overall communication skills. I meet my clients where they are, form a genuine connection with them, and ensure they are engaged and having fun during every session. I combine evidence-based approaches with interactive activities to target skills lead to lifelong success.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, and listening to music. I enjoy hiking and being outside with my family. I also love photography and spend as much time as I can taking pictures of my boys.

Getting Started
Getting started with In Bloom Speech Therapy is easy, here is our process from intake to therapy. We look forward to speaking with you!
1
We will begin with a free consultation call to answer your questions, discuss your concerns, and determine if our services are the right fit for your family.
2
Services typically begin with an evaluation to understand your child's strengths and challenges. Following the evaluation, we will share the results and collaborate to develop a therapy plan.
3
Once therapy begins we will meet at a frequency that best supports your child's goals. We will provide home practice programs and regular progress reports.
“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.”
